The Vest
Original Piece
The vest is made from two pair of deconstructed denim jeans and an original pattern. Details include both repurposed and new pockets, freehand embroidery, and donated separating zipper.
Fairy Dress
Original Piece
This dress was designed using the Shingo Sato patternmaking technique, which involves replacing darts with a continuous seam that runs through the garment. It is made with suiting fabric and lace and includes a hidden inseam pocket.
Stephanie Costume
Handmade Costume
This costume is made from hand-drafted patterns, based on an image from the show Lazy Town. It is made from polyester fabrics and a repurposed ribbed collar.
Bow Purses
Upcycled Design
Made for the brand Cloina. Second-hand purses revamped using bows and beads. These pieces were designed in collaboration with Cloe from Cloina Store.
Flower Dyed Flowers
Upcycled Design
Made for the brand Laila Textiles. Flower patterns cut from naturally dyed cotton sewn to thrifted denim garments. These pieces were designed and made in collaboration with Liz from Laila Textiles.
Accessible Design
Original Designs
A three garment look, all made from original patterns and altered based on fit-model measurements. Garments are designed with wheelchair accessibility in mind, including only front closures. Button-down top made of suiting fabric. Vest made of medium-weight lace and ribbon. Fully lined wrap-skirt made of faux silk, ribbon, and magnet closures.
Tennis Dress
Original Design
Athletic Dress designed for the brand Ellie Day. Design, original patterns, and sewing completed in collaboration with designer Hory Orozco. Made of poly-spandex, and complete a placket and collar, and side and sleeve panels intended to be printed with the brands original prints.
